FAQs
Where are you located?
We are
located in Yorba Linda, California. We primarily service the Los Angeles County
and Orange County Area; however, we are open to different locations upon
request. A small traveling fee may apply for wedding ceremonies or receptions
outside of the two counties.
What equipment do you
use?
We use
professional Canon digital SLR cameras, several lenses and flash systems. We
also have medium format system if requested.
Do you have back up
equipment?
Yes. As
well as having multiple cameras, we also have backups of all of our lenses and
lighting equipment. Should anything of them breakdown during the event, it won't
prevent us from continuing to shoot the rest of the event.
Do you shoot digital or film?
We
shoot mainly digital but film is available if requested. While film and digital
each offer their own advantages, we prefer shooting digital as it allows us to
offer lower prices to our customers, a quicker turnaround time for providing
prints and more flexibility for digitally enhancing images. We feel digital has
matured enough to match film in both resolution and image quality. Not only do
we use the latest professional camera bodies, but also the best quality Canon
lenses available to capture your images no matter what lighting conditions may
present itself.
Do you retouch
photographs?
Absolutely. We make corrections for color and exposure to every
photo. A large number of photos are also retouched to remove blemishes, spots or
other unwanted objects in images.
Do we get the full size image
files or reduced size?
Several professional photographers
provide their customers lower size image files suitable for 4x6” reprints only
or for emailing to friends. The image files we provide are full size images, not
reduced, and can be used for reprinting of enlargements as well as 4x6”.
Reserving the date
Events are
booked on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve a date, we ask for a small
deposit up front. Deposits are fully refundable up to 30 days before the event
should you need to cancel. Once you reserve a date, we ask that you also
schedule a follow-up meeting in the future before the event to review the
program for the day of the event.
When do we receive our
prints?
You will
receive your prints within 3-4 weeks from the day of your event.
What methods of payment to you
accept?
For wedding deposits, we only accept a bank check or cash. The
remaining balance may be paid by credit card, bank check or cash. Full balances
must be paid one week prior to the event. Additional reprints may be ordered
online through a secure website using any major credit card.
Can we simply receive the
original files from you and handle the prints on our own?
The images taken at the event
are stored in a RAW format by the camera. This provides us the most flexibility
during post processing without compromising image quality. Photo labs will not
recognize RAW format. Once we have post processed the images taken at the event,
we convert the images to a format that print labs will accept. We use ICC
profiles to match the display to that which the print lab produces. Because of
all of the work that is required to achieve the best image quality, we prefer
that we handle the prints ourselves. After the images have been post processed
and digitally enhanced, we provide them to you on a single DVD or multiple
CD's.
Do you shoot black and white
photos?
Yes. While the photos we shoot are in color, we will convert a large
number of photos which we feel will look good in black and white or
sepia.
What is your shooting
style?
Our
approach to wedding photography is a combination of both traditional and
photojournalistic styles. This process not only assures that every single
memorable moment is captured, but it is also done in a way such that it will not
distract the wedding couple as they enjoy their day. We also shoot traditional
formals before and after the ceremony however a majority of our photos are
undirected candid photography.
